A 2-hr. wine-tasting seminar of Portuguese wines led by native son Augusto Gabriel. Beginning with a singular introduction to Portugal, how its ocean-front perch informs many aspects of its culture, here revealed through its storied wine regions, representing old world, to exciting new discoveries where innovation rules. Augusto connects the influences of climate & landscape that nourish the over 250 indigenous varieties & imports, explaining the qualities of notable wines, wineries & their regions.
Augusto provides take-home materials to continue the learning experience with a detailed map of Portugal & technical sheets of the each wine being tasted.
Seven wines ( reds, whites and ports) will be tasted representing traditional and innovative winemaking regions.
Tasting includes Savour's specialties ... cheeses, charcuterie, tasty bites …
