Artist Statement: My paintings are my responses to what I see and experience.
The works in this exhibit represent my travels, which have taken me from my home area of southeastern Pennsylvania to locations throughout New England, along with still life produced during the “in between times” of those travels. Each location has its impact, or flavor, of terrain and light, which brings endless challenge and enjoyment to me as a painter. Inspiration is found in  the stone farms of Pennsylvania and colorful houses in Vermont. The ocean scenes and weather-beaten houses of eastern Massachusetts and Maine punctuate the same coastal migration paths of birds.
